Toshiba expands its multimedia hard drive offering with STOR.E TV 2

STOR.E TV 2 stores and organises all multimedia data in one place and offers an intuitive one-click access to the files

Today, Toshiba Europe GmbH presents the new STOR.E TV 2. The HD multimedia storage drive has a storage capacity of up to 2 Terabytes(1) and a broad range of connectivity options supporting most video, photo and music file formats. STOR.E TV 2 comes in an elegant design with rounded edges. The easy-to-use multimedia hard drive will be available in matt black and matt white from fourth quarter 2011 in Europe.

STOR.E TV 2 stores all media files in one place
STOR.E TV 2 can store all media files in one place and allows everyone to enjoy photos, videos and music in the comfort of the living room by simply connecting the device to a TV. The multimedia storage device even plays music whilst displaying a photo slideshow on the TV screen. When a camcorder is connected via USB to STOR.E TV 2, content can be streamed from the camcorder directly to the TV without the need for an additional computer.

Ensuring great picture and sound quality
STOR.E TV 2 features digital technologies and interfaces such as HDMI™, H.264 and the surround sound audio codecs Dolby® Digital and dts™ 2.0+Digital Out to ensure great picture and sound quality.

Graphical user interface for intuitive operation
The new intuitive graphical user interface, operated by remote control, makes navigation easy. The user simply browses the folders in the on-screen menu on the TV screen to locate a file and play the footage. Content can be neatly organised by creating playlists, media folders and slideshows.
